Ideal Stone has invested in the most up-to-date technology, enabling precision cutting and intricate edge profiling, from standard pencil edges to premium New York and build up styles. Our 75,000sq ft manufacturing facility boasts some of the most advanced computer aided saws to ensure absolute precision.

We also offer full CNC capability, enabling us to deliver on the most detailed, bespoke requirements of our clients, including recessed drainers, undermount sink apertures, internal and external radius corners and more.

Granite or quartz?

We source and stock stone from all over the world

Both granite and quartz are essentially natural stone surfaces boasting incredible strength as well as resistance to heat.

Granite is a naturally-occurring igneous rock that is cut into slabs and then polished, revealing the minerals trapped within as the rock was formed. Granite has a porous surface and therefore must be sealed and maintained to prevent staining.

Quartz worktops are made from up to 97% natural quartz, which is mixed with polymer resins to create an extremely durable, non-porous surface that can be polished to a high shine and requires no upkeep. Pigments, glass or metallic flecks can be added to make quartz in almost any colour.

Selected by hand and imported from around the world, all our stone is stored under cover in our factory to ensure it is in optimal condition, and each piece is carefully handled throughout the machining process using gantry cranes operated by our experienced personnel. We hold stock of our most requested granites in both 30mm and 40mm slabs, which allows us to be responsive to the needs of our customers.
